As you know, I started the On the Road series because I wanted to transition into doing photography full-time. My next step was to break into commercial photography. But after a while, being on the go constantly left me feeling drained. I didn’t want to meet the endless demands of commercial clients, shoot things I wasn’t passionate about, or deal with delayed payments.

I originally planned to build up my portfolio in a way that would attract commercial clients, but honestly, I didn’t have the stamina for it. As a result, 2024 turned out to be the year I did the least amount of photography in a long time—I was OUTSIDE. But looking back, I think I built the foundation for the woman I’m becoming in 2025.

Now, I feel back on track for my next photo series, and I’ve decided to do things my way. Instead of chasing commercial clients by creating a portfolio that mirrors what they want, I’m focusing on shooting my passion projects.
